Ritual Of You
The veil and the friend,
I'm calling you again,
from dusk till the dawn,
I sit on the pillow we made love on.
Here on the floor by the hour
I wait for you,
my voice calls out to you,
make me alive again,
in your arms again,
I can hear you say my name
asking me to squeeze you tight,
it can never be today until it is tonight.
Take me into the depths of myself,
into the trance of what makes me alive,
the astral light that is between us,
into the consciousness of being,
let us be one in the same in one
small moment of time recurring,
one in the same,
as I say this chant and chant your name.
The nakedness around me awaits you as each winter awaits the spring.
And the rose I sit before me has a name
I call it your name.
